Discover the comfort, clarity, and convenience of contact lenses with expert care from Bawtry Eye Academy.
Our contact lens service
We provide comprehensive contact lens care, including assessments, personalised fittings and follow-up support. Our contact lens appointments are more detailed than a routine eye test, checking your eyes and tear quality to ensure a secure, comfortable fit.
Each session is designed around your individual vision needs and daily life. Consultations usually take around 40 minutes, with trial lenses offered when suitable.
Who can wear contacts
Contact lenses suit most prescriptions, including short- or long-sightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia. They’re ideal for teens and adults seeking an alternative to glasses or more freedom for sport and daily life. Children may also be considered if they can use them responsibly.
What to expect during your consultation
Your appointment begins with a relaxed chat about your vision and lifestyle, followed by eye measurements and tear film assessment to find the right lenses. Lenses are put in and checked for comfort and vision, with a free 1–2 week trial available. You’ll receive practical guidance on inserting, removing, and caring for your lenses, plus follow-up visits to ensure ongoing comfort and performance.
