Our Story

Bawtry Eye Academy was founded in 2013 from a desire to offer an eye practice built on trust and true personal care. After years of working in large optical chains, our founders wanted to bring eye care back to its heart: people. We set out to create a space where patients are treated like family, where appointments aren’t rushed and where every recommendation is made with honesty and integrity.

From humble beginnings with no patient base, we’ve grown into an award-winning practice at the heart of Bawtry, known for expert care delivered with warmth, respect, and genuine kindness.

Meet the team

Our close-knit team combines professional expertise with personality. Led by Director and Dispensing Optician, Sarah, our team includes Helen, Kate, Keishia, Mark, Shoaib, Robyn, Daisy, and Tom – each bringing unique skills and genuine care to their role. We may not be a family business by name, but we’re a practice that supports the wellbeing of our community in every sense.
